What’s New?

  1. Roles and Permissions for creating, editing, sharing and reviewing content.

    1. Roles and permissions have been updated and added to support the creating, editing, sharing and review and approval of mapping features, use of boards and other application tools.

  2. Full NIFS data set for incident mapping features

    1. For incident mapping features, the full NIFS data model has been added.

  3. 2022 NWCG symbology updates

    1. Symbology has been updated to reflect the latest updates for NWCG symbology/feature set.

  4. Switching incident modes

    1. Peer to Peer and Authoritative modes have been added to incidents to support initial and extended attack incidents and the review and approval process of features added during these incident modes.

  5. Incident mapping review and approval process

    1. To support the review and approval of mapping features added during extended and major attack, a a review and approval process has been implemented through the boards functionality, using the new review board.

  6. Geometry Validation for Imports

    1. Mapping geometry that is uploaded and corrupt or broken, will now be automatically fixed on upload to avoid previous issues where uploaded geometries wouldn't appear or would “break” an incident or mapping capabilities.

  7. Invert/Flip Line Features

    1. A Flip Line tool has been adding giving users the ability to change the drawing direction of a line. This solves the previous issue where the Fire Edge (and other symbology) would be drawn in the wrong direction.

Known Bugs/Issues

  1. Uploading Zipped Shapefiles with Very High Vertex Count

    1. GIS user should simplify using generalization tools of ~10 feet as needed.

    2. IRINs should avoid using GIS streaming when digitizing.

  2. The Impact Tool & FMAG Tool cannot be used simultaneously.

    1. Close the Impact Tool if needing to perform an FMAG analysis.

  3. Add Layer from File on TOC does not save to user quickmap when save button is clicked.
