Merge Polygons

Shortcut: CTRL + M

The merge tool allows you to combine two overlapping polygons into one polygon.

Difference

Short cut: CTRL + D

The difference tool allows you to subtract one overlapping polygon from another. Use the checkboxes in the Incident Mapping Grid to select the features.

The polygon you select first will be the one that is kept and the polygon that is selected second will be subtracted.

Overlap (Exclude Intersect)

Shortcut: Shift + i

The overlap (exclude intersect) tool allows you to remove the overlap between two polygons.

Overlap (Only Intersect)

Shortcut: CTRL + i

The overlap (only intersect) tool allows you to remove the non overlapping pieces of the polygons.

Split by Line (Cut)

Shortcut:CTRL + P

The split by line tool allows you to cut a polygon by drawing a line across it where you want the cut to be.

Aggregate

Shortcut: Shift + A

The aggregate tool allows you to draw a new shape that partially overlaps an existing polygon and merge it with that existing polygon.

The start and end vertex of the new extension has to be inside the existing polygon.

Split and Aggregate

Shortcut: CTRL + A

The split and aggregate tools allows you to perform a cut and add on to the polygon at the same time.

Lines

Merge Lines

Shortcut: Shift + M

The merge lines tool allows you to merge two overlapping lines into one.

Split by Line (Cut)

Shortcut: CTRL + P

The split by line tool allows you to cut a line by drawing a line where you want the cut to be.
