Map Templates and Mapping Features

Each map template (IAP, OPS, or Briefing) adheres to NWCG standards to determine which features will be visible on the final map.

If the incident selected for any map template is in OPEN mode, all features from the NWCG standard will appear on the final map, regardless of their status.

If the incident selected for any map template is in APPROVAL mode, only features that are both “Approved” status and meet NWCG standards will be displayed on the final map.
