Incident Photos

Photos can be uploaded to Tactical Analyst on the web or by users in the field through the mobile application. Photos will be attached to a specific incident and can be viewed or shared by other TA users. The Incident Photos tab is where you can view and upload these photos for the selected incident and board.

AlertWildfire Images can also be attached to the incident.

View a Photo

Photos attached to the selected incident for the selected board appear on the Photos tab. The photos tab displays all of the attached photos in a list that you can sort, search or filter.

To view a photo, click on it in the photos list. A pop up will appear showing the photo and details about the photo including comments.

Show Photos on the Map

Each photo uploaded to an incident is geotagged. This allows you to see where it was taken (if on mobile) or uploaded from (on web).

To show the photos on the map:

1. Check the Show on Map checkbox.

2. Click on the photo on the map to view it.

Rotate the Photo

There is a known issue where sometimes photos taken on mobile are the wrong orientation. To fix the orientation of the photo:

1. Click the button.

2. A pop up will appear with the photo and a rotate button. Click to rotate the image 90 degrees.

3. Once the photo is in the correct orientation, click Modify Image.

Once saved, the image will now be in the correct orientation for all users on web and mobile.

Upload a Photo

To upload a photo to the selected incident:

1. Click Upload at the top of the Photos tab.

2. An upload pop up will appear. Click Select File to browse your computer and select a photo to upload.

3. Add comments to the photo.

4. Click Upload File.

Download Photos

Download a Single Photo

To download a specific photo:

1. Click next to the photo you want to download.

2. Select Download and choose where to save the photo on your computer.

Download All Photos

Click Download All at the top of the photos list and choose where to save the photo on your computer.

Edit Photo Details

To edit the photo’s name or comments:

1. Click next to the photo you want to edit in the photos list.

2. Select Edit.

3. Once you have made edits to the name and comments, click Save to apply the changes.

Sharing Photos Between Boards

Photos can be shared between boards for the selected incident.

To share a photo to another board:

1. Click next to the photo you want to share.

2. Select Share.

3. The Share Content pop up will appear with a list of boards for the selected incident. Check the boards you want to share the photo to.

4. Click Share.

The boards that are checked indicate which boards the photo is currently visible/shared in.

Unshare a Photo

To unshare a photo from a specific board:

1. Click next to the photo you want to unshare.

2. Select Share.

3. The Share Content pop up will appear with a list of boards for the selected incident. Uncheck the boards you want to unshare the photo to.

4. Click Share.

Sort Photo List

By default the photos list is sorted by Created (Newest).

To change how the list is sorted, click Sort and select one of the following:

• Name (A-Z)

• Name(Z-A)

• Created (Newest)

• Created (Oldest)

Search Photo List

You can search for photos by using the search bar at the top of the photos list. The photos list will filter down as you type your search.

Clear your search by clicking the in the search bar.

Search only searches the photo name.

Filter Photos

To filter the photos list and map:

1. Click Filters in the photo list.

2. Once you have set your filters, click Apply.

The photos list and map will be filters to only show photos based on your set filters.

Clear Photo Filters

To clear any applied photo filters, click Filters in the photo list and select Clear All.
